Lauren Schaible, NCSP, BCBA

School Psychologist and Behavior Analyst
As a School Psychologist, I specialize in supporting students in the fields of psychology and education through areas such as: data assessment, progress monitoring, resilience and risk factors, mental health interventions, crisis preparedness, response and recovery, research and program evaluation, professional ethics, school law, and systems. I am also in my final year of doctoral school finishing my doctorate in Psychology (PsyD).
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), I specialize in the science of behavior. Behavior is not only related to problem behavior; behavior is everything we do, (walk, talk, read, write, playing sports). BCBA's go with the saying, if a dead man can't do it, it is a behavior. In addition to decreasing problem behaviors, a BCBA's role is to improve the human condition through behavior change. Sometimes this means we need to decrease problem behaviors in order to teach the skills necessary for appropriate behaviors, (whatever those behaviors are). Out of the 12 subspecialty area's of applied behavior analysis, (ABA), I specialize in two areas: Clinical Behavior Analysis and Autism & Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. Clinical Behavior Analysis is the application of behavior analysis to treat problems that have been traditionally characterized as mental disorders. Autism & Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities is best known for its success in treating individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities, (Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities).
