All About Me

Welcome to 5th Grade! I am Eileen Carr and this begins my 28th year teaching! My experience began in Howell Township where I taught for 11 years before I stayed home to raise my children. After 8 years at home with my family, I returned to teaching. This year begins my 17th year teaching 5th grade at Asher and I am thrilled to be back.  When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, walking the boardwalk, spending time with my family relaxing by our firepit, and cheering on my favorite NY Yankees.

Parents: Message From Room 30

This is a big year for your child emotionally, socially, and academically.  I'm looking forward to getting to know your child and helping each student navigate their final year in elementary school. For your convenience, I will be posting homework and instructional activities on my Google Classroom each day. You will see the post under the "homework" topic. Please know that I am here to support you and your children in any way you need. We will navigate this school year together to make this last year at Asher a success for all. I've always believed in the home-school connection and the value each of you plays in your child's life; now more than ever, that connection is needed. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you have. You can contact me at [email protected] or 732 972-2080.  I will get back to you as quickly as possible. I look forward to working with you and your child to help make this year a happy, successful, fun-filled year! My door is always open, so please never hesitate to reach out to me for any reason.

Students: Message From Room 30

This is a big year for you, and I can't wait to share this exciting time with you.  You will be amazed at how quickly this year will go by!  Try to take the time to enjoy your experiences, learn new things, decide the type of person you want to be, and always be on the lookout to develop new friendships.  Set a goal for yourself...any thing that will help you focus and have the best experiences possible.  Try reading a new genre or develop your creative writing skills.  Consider learning more about our history or some really cool scientific discoveries!  How about a new instrument or a different sport? The sky is the limit. I am here to support you, and help you prepare for the next part of your journey...middle school! We will have a fun filled year, and I can't wait to meet you in person:)
