Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! This is my 5th year teaching 5th grade in Marlboro, my first year at Asher Holmes Elementary School, and my 18th year teaching. I previously taught in Edison Township Public Schools for 13 years before I spent 7 years home with my children.  I love the beach and feel lucky to live near there with my family.  This year my two kids will be in fifth grade and first grade.  My husband owns a small landscape company, and we enjoy being outside and traveling with our family to new places.  

 

My favorite genre to read is historical fiction. I enjoy teaching you how to break down word problems into easier parts in math and applying both our reading and math skills in science and social studies.  It is going to be a really fun year, and I cannot wait to help you get ready for middle school. 

 

Fifth grade is such an important transitional year in so many ways.  By working together, we can truly help your child succeed.  I truly believe the communication between school and home is what helps your child navigate their last year in elementary school and get them better prepared for middle school.   My email is [email protected] if you ever need to reach out with any questions or concerns.  All homework and classwork will be available in my Google Classroom.
