Ukulele Rocks!

No instrument sounds good when it's out of tune!  Be sure to start with a good tuning.  Turn the pegs slowly and carefully, trying to match the pitch of the tuner.  If you turn it too far or too fast, you may break the string!

The Lime in the Coconut is a fun song to sing, and EASY to play!  It only uses one chord - C!  This is also a great song to warm up your strumming fingers with, or cool down at the end of a practice session.
If you have a ukulele at home, you can have fun trying these songs.  If you don't have one, you can still enjoy singing along with these classic favorites!

Banana Boat Song, aka Day-O, is another fun tune that is easy to play!  This song was made famous by Harry Belafonte many years ago.  It uses the F chord and the C7 chord - notice that the C7 chord is played on a different fret than the C chord you used in other songs.  Enjoy singing and playing this one!

Another favorite song is "This Land Is Your Land" by Woody Guthrie.  It uses 3 chords: F, C, and G7.  Enjoy singing this song, and playing along too!

There's always time for a song that brings a smile, so here you are: "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bob Marley.  Another 3 chord song, this one uses C, Dm, and F.  Sing along and practice your strumming with this laid back, relaxed song that will melt your worries away!
