My name is Mary Caronna and I am so excited for the year ahead. For those of you who don’t know me, let me share a bit about myself. I earned my BA in Child Study at St Joseph’s College in Brooklyn. I have dual certification to teach students in K-12, and teacher of the handicapped certification. This is my 31st year in education and the beginning of my 29th year at Asher Holmes. I started my career at Asher in grade three, and later also taught grade two. In 2011, I became the teacher of the gifted and talented programs here.

During my free time, I enjoy paper crafting: making unique cards and albums. I also love mixed-media crafts, reading, and spending time with my family. My husband and I are very close to our three adult children, their spouses, and our granddaughter, Natalie.

This year I am so excited to work with our Asher Colts and I look forward to all we can accomplish and explore together!
