Welcome to Mrs. Mandel's Page!
I have been privileged to be part of the Marlboro School District faculty for the past twenty-one years. Prior to that, I taught at private elementary schools in New York and New Jersey. I received my Master in Education from Farleigh Dickinson University, and I am certified in both regular and special education. Over the years, I have taught students in grades K-5. As I strongly believe that all children learn in different ways, I work to modify and enrich the curriculum for all of my students in order to help them discover their true capabilities and strengths.
As a child, I always enjoyed "playing teacher". In fact, growing up with parents who were teachers meant I couldn't wait until I would be old enough for my first real day of school on the other side of the desk! Now that I am here, I enjoy the opportunities each day presents and find the experience of teaching as wonderful as I had always dreamed it to be.
Parents, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] with any questions or concerns about your child.
This year, Mrs. Newhouse and I will be teaching ELA together in our Core 1/2 class. Mrs. Weinshank and I will be teaching Math, Social Studies and Science together in our Core 3/4 class. Here are some important links:
